About Us

Beach Community Acupuncture (BCA) offers individualized acupuncture and herbal medicine in a lovely open studio. Since opening in 2009, we have provided more than 150,000 treatments. We have extensive clinical experience for almost every possible health condition. Our acupuncturists have Master’s degrees in Chinese Medicine and are licensed by the California Acupuncture Board.

Hundreds of clinical studies on the benefits of acupuncture show that it successfully treats conditions ranging from musculoskeletal problems (back pain, neck pain, and others) to nausea, migraine headache, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and arthritis. Meet the Practitioners

Nicole Murray, L.Ac., MSTOM

Founder/Licensed Acupuncturist

Nicole founded Beach Community Acupuncture in Ocean Beach in 2009. She is very proud to have built a practice providing highest quality acupuncture with excellent customer care. She personally gives more than 5,000 treatments a year, and, like Mary, has experience with every condition treatable with acupuncture. She received her BS from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in 2008, and a BA in English Literature (University of Maryland, 1993). She formerly worked in nonprofit development and program management, and media production. She has two older teens and loves gardening, theater, yoga, all the books, shenanigans with friends, and everything outdoors. Nicole always has a side project going and is a lifelong volunteer.

Mary Vincent, L.Ac., MSTOM

Licensed Acupuncturist

Mary has been practicing acupuncture since 2009. She earned her Master of Science in Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego. She, like Nicole, has experience with every condition treatable with acupuncture. Mary is an in-demand practitioner who personally averages about 5,000 treatments a year. Mary has a BA in Anthropology from the University of New Mexico.

When not helping people feel better, she is with her husband and kids and adorable dogs Augie and Daisy. She also has an incredible garden and reads everything she can get her hands on.
